MANILA, Philippines — Tensions escalated Tuesday morning after buses carrying members of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) blocked the northbound lanes of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and the EDSA Carousel bus lane, triggering a confrontation with police.
