The Evil Lawyer Ending Explained
How Does Mek Get a Lesser Sentence?
The climax showcases Jittri once again using the loopholes in the justice system to save Mek. She frames the case such that Mek confesses to bribery but not premeditated murder, twisting the truth such that he was working with Techin and tried to kill Nay Oo, but she ultimately got the upper hand. He did ultimately take the golf club from her, but it was too late.
The story ends up shifting focus away from a murder charge and helps him go scot-free since the judge is unable to believe the evidence that was presented against him. However, this results in Mek losing Ang as she is unable to forgive him for lying in court.

In the end, the irony is impossible to ignore as Mek’s story started with his unwavering support for what’s right and going by the books. However, he, too, had to bow down in front of power and do whatever it takes to survive.
What was Jittri’s Connection to Anan?
Throughout the series, we are given an inkling that Jittri has some past connection to Anan and has taken up Mek’s case to get back at him. In the end, we learn that Jittri’s father had been taken hostage by Anan and Chaiwaut, who had put false charges on him and then killed him, making it look like he had run away to save himself. However, his family believed otherwise and had waited with bated breath to know the truth and make Anan suffer. However, things don’t go that way.

What Happens in the End?
The last scene turns everything on its head. Mek and Jittri meet Anan at his house, thinking that he’s about to beg them for help. However, they meet an unknown man there who asks for their help to spin the truth on Anan’s death, right in front of him! In a shocking turn of events, he kills Anan and then tells them to spin this as a suicide, leaving them completely shocked and traumatised.
Things take a worse twist when he introduces himself as Kosol, the man who murdered Mek’s mother. It comes completely out of left field and leaves everyone in the room on edge, and the series ends on this cliffhanger.
What Does the Ending Mean?

The ending showcases that it’s not about winning court cases – the series highlights how power and money can help people to easily navigate the justice system as they please. Even Mek, who started as an idealist, was forced to bow down to Jittri’s plans after his own life was on the line. In the end, things will always go in favour of the powerful until we all take accountability for our actions. Does the ending mean that Mek will wake up to his own moral crumbling and take Ang’s help to right the wrongs? Considering his battle is far from over, some big changes seem to be on the horizon for him!
