An X user @Mykethogan was particularly impressed and called the episode “superb” while highlighting Lukas and Kennedy finally making it to Silo 17. The reaction also points towards one of the biggest revelations: the history of poisoned water in Silo.

Gloria’s return makes the situation more unsettling; according to the user’s reaction, she reveals that the last time the water was poisoned, more than 2000 people died. The user puts it as, “so many secrets and reveals in this episode.”
That can possibly be the explanation as to why it landed well with some viewers.

The show’s world has expanded massively since the first season. What began as a fairly contained mystery surrounding one underground society has gradually turned into a much bigger story involving multiple Silos, buried histories, political manipulation, memory, technology and the question of why this system exists. Every answer seems to arrive with two questions attached.
The Complaint: “Too Many New Characters”

Nobody is arguing that Silo has suddenly become ‘bad’: the world is still intriguing, the mysteries are still compelling, and the show’s ability to make one tiny revelation feel like it could change everything remains intact.
The problem is “THE WAIT”. For viewers who enjoy slow-burn storytelling, it gives plenty to obsess over, but for the increasingly impatient audience, the feeling is simpler: we have been waiting so long and asking since forever.
