My Royal Nemesis Episode 6 Review
What happens after Se-gye and Seo-ri wake up?
After they both lose consciousness, they wake up in the hospital. Seo-ri literally thinks that she has died. Se-gye wakes up and asks for Seo-ri. He enquires whether she is okay or not. Before this, we also see that Se-gye was on a blind date, and he rejected a girl, Tae-hee, mercilessly.
Back at the hospital, Seo-ri finally realises that she is not dead, and she goes to ask for Se-gye. Se-gye sees this, and they again get into a needless fight. Seo-ri claims that she was not looking for him, while he asks her not to be too fussy about his health.
What happens after they meet?
Se-gye and Seo-ri enter Se-gye’s room, and she finds herself in a highly compromising position with Se-gye. This situation soon turns hilarious when Se-gye’s assistant finds them as well. When Seo-ri goes out of the room, she seems visibly shaken. On the other hand, Se-gye already realises that the one who poisoned him was Moon-do. Here, Moon-do was seen liking someone’s photos, and it is still a mystery who this mysterious person is. Maybe it is a concubine from his past, who has reincarnated in his current life as well. I am highly suspicious that Moon-do actually remembers his past.
What is up with the new girl?
Mo Tae-hee tries her best to mingle with Se-gye’s family. She is really gunning for Se-gye’s wife’s position. Later, we find out that she is also conspiring with Moon-do against Se-gye.
Do Se-gye and Seo-ri go on a beach date?
While on their way, they stop at a beach and talk for a while. This moment between them helped them understand each other’s feelings a lot better. Seo-ri also let him know that it was her first time watching the sea. Here, from the way Se-gye looks at Seo-ri, it becomes apparent that he is in love with her.
What happens at the shoot?
The shoot turns into a mess after Se-gye gets shocked seeing how gorgeous Seo-ri looks in every dress. He also becomes jealous when everyone else starts to praise her. He then makes her change dresses, which makes Seo-ri mad.
Did their love go in a new direction?
Yes, an incident brings the two closer. At night, Seo-ri gets lost only to be rescued by Se-gye. Though they fight after this happens, they find themselves at the beach again. This time, a drunk Seo-ri talks to Se-gye, and the moment becomes very intimate between them.
Did something happen between them?
Se-gye and Seo-ri finally kiss. This was hands down the highlight of this episode.
What worked and what did not work?
I really love the steady and apt progression of love in this story. The romance gets its breathing space and does not feel rushed. The comedy also works, and we get plenty of laugh-worthy moments.
There was nothing in particular that I disliked.
