Police have detained a 28 year old man, known as “Pond”, in a holding cell pending court proceedings after a body was discovered at his home in the Bang Rak Phatthana area of Bang Bua Thong district, Nonthaburi province.
The body belonged to 28 year old Sakdinon, who had been dead for several days by the time police found him.
Pond was arrested on the evening of June 2 after leaving the house that morning. At 10pm on June 5, police placed him in a holding cell.
Speaking to reporters, Pond denied harming Sakdinon, saying the death had been sudden. He estimated Sakdinon had died around five days before the discovery, but said he had not sought medical help because he believed the man was still alive.

“I tried calling him, and he responded with his eyes but did not get up, so I did not take him to a doctor. I was still there holding his leg, asserting that I did not harm him. The oil stains found were sauce, and I did not pour oil on him. I did not flee; I just went for a drive, walked in the mall, and slept at gas stations because I didn’t want to stay at home due to the foul smell,” he said.
Further investigations revealed that Pond had not bathed for over a year and had engaged in sexual activity with the deceased. Suspected substances were also found in a bag at the property, reported KhaoSod.
