MANILA, Philippines — Heat indices recorded across the country on Tuesday, May 26 peaked at 47ºC in three areas, namely, Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; and Sangley Point in Cavite City, the state weather bureau said. Meanwhile, dozens of other areas also reached “danger” level heat indices, or those ranging between 42°C and 51°C.
