Daemons of the Shadow Realm Episode 8 Review

Who is the new character that was introduced in the beginning?
The new character is a mangaka called Kagemori Hikaru. He has two demons, Black and White. With the help of White, he fixes things, and with the help of Black, he writes over things. These two demons sit on his shoulder. He also seems like a pretty famous person, as Tadera noticed his name right away. Later, he even claimed to make decent money with his profession. He is one of the members of the original family branch.
Who are the three Kagemori brothers?
One of the most shocking revelations was the three unexpected members of the Kagemoris. Hikaru is the older brother, the mysterious Asuma is the middle brother, and Jin is the youngest. They all have different mothers, so they look nothing alike. Hagure is also the next clan leader as the oldest.

What happens when they sit for breakfast?
The moment surrounding the breakfast begins on a lighthearted note. Here, Jin asks some important questions to Tadera. He asks if the village had sent the daemons to attack them. Tadera refuses, stating why would they do that, but Jin makes some good theories. However, Tadera also assures that he knew nothing of the extreme attacks allegedly done by the village. He also did not know that Yuru’s parents were kidnapped. He did mention that he would kill anyone who would attack his territory first, but he is not the kind who would willingly go somewhere to attack them.

What do the Kagemori clan plan to do with the twins?
This was an interesting segment, as we get to see different ideas and opinions, even amongst the Kagemori clan. The elder Kagemori wants to completely destroy the village to ensure that it will not produce twins in the future. This is because, according to him, the villagers are evil and wish to rule the world. Asuma, on the other hand, has a different view. He thinks the villagers also have the right to exist, but under the leadership of an organisation. Not only that, but he also believes those with power should use it for the better, as it was granted by the gods.
What does Yuru finally decide?

After listening to both parties, Yuru makes a declaration. He says that he would not hide and kill whoever comes for his head. He refuses to live in fear, and Asa scolds him for this bold decision. According to her, her brother should hide and save himself. Left and Right obviously side with Yuru on this and not Asa. Yuru also refused to join the Kagemori clan.
Why did Yuru’s parents leave him?
Asa finally reveals that their parents wanted to bring Yuru as well. However, they could not because the granny came in their way. Asa was the only one who could be rescued. After hearing this, Yuru becomes emotional, and a touching moment occurs between the siblings.

What worked and what did not work?
This was a good episode that answered many of the questions regarding the plot. I specifically liked the emotionally charged ending. There was nothing in particular that I disliked.
