A Crafty Affair

A Crafty Affair spreads beyond a single market hall, bringing craft, art, workshops, food and community activities into several spaces around Jim Thompson Art Center and the surrounding Kasem San neighbourhood. The three-day event is designed as a craft hangout rather than simply a place to shop, with visitors able to move between different makers and activities throughout the area.
Expect handmade goods, prints, design pieces and homeware alongside workshops for anyone interested in making something themselves. Food, drinks and music are also part of the programme, making it easy to spend a few hours wandering between the Art Center, Jim Thompson House Museum and nearby community spaces.
The event runs from Friday to Sunday and is free to enter, so there is no need to commit to a full-day programme. It is also just a short walk from BTS National Stadium.
Thai Content Experience 2026 (TCX)

Thai Content Experience 2026 turns Paragon Hall into a showcase for Thailand’s film, television, series, music and animation industries. Rather than focusing only on booths and industry displays, TCX builds several of its best-known titles into physical experiences that visitors can walk through.
Among the main attractions are immersive areas inspired by GTH films, Girl From Nowhere and the Undertaker universe from the Thai Baan franchise. There is also the Born to Fight Spectacular stunt show, live theatre under the Re-Stage programme and Cinematic Symphony – Heartbeat of Thai Film, which brings music from Thai cinema into a live concert setting.
Creator and studio showcases provide a look at the people and production work behind Thai entertainment, with additional activities and performances scheduled on the main stage. The event began on Thursday, August 13, but continues throughout the full weekend until Sunday evening.
Wit in Bangkok 2026

Science heads out of the classroom at Wit in Bangkok 2026, a three-day science and technology festival organised by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. This year’s theme, COEXIST, looks at the connections between people, nature, other people and the things humans create.
The programme includes hands-on workshops with different speakers, interactive exhibitions from universities and organisations, and appearances from science communicators including KornKT. There are also science quiz activities with scholarships among the prizes, giving younger visitors more to do than simply walk between displays.
The setting helps this one stand apart from the city’s usual convention-centre science events. Everything takes place at the Bang Sue Environmental Education and Conservation Center inside Wachirabenchathat Park, better known as Suan Rot Fai, making it easy to combine the festival with some time outdoors. Advance registration is available through the organiser.
The American Craft Beer Experience

For one day only, Quartier Avenue is bringing together a sizeable collection of independent American breweries for The American Craft Beer Experience. The event is presented by the Brewers Association and focuses on beers from producers across the United States, including several that are not commonly found in Thailand.
The brewery line-up includes names such as AleSmith Brewing Company, Coronado Brewing Company, Deschutes Brewery, Finback Brewery and Toppling Goliath Brewing Co., among others. American-style food will be available alongside the drinks, including barbecue, burgers and hot dogs.
Entry is free, although drinks and food are sold separately. The event is restricted to adults aged 20 and over and runs from lunchtime until 10pm, directly beside BTS Phrom Phong.
Swing in the Park: Swing Through Time
Date & Time: Saturday, August 15, 5pm to 8pm

Lumphini Hall is heading back to the dance-floor atmosphere of the 1930s for a special edition of Swing in the Park. Swing Through Time combines social dancing with live music and gives newcomers a chance to learn some basic steps before the evening gets properly underway.
Music comes from The Stumblrs alongside the Suntaraporn Band, bringing swing jazz together with one of the best-known names in Thailand’s traditional popular music. A beginner-friendly swing class is also part of the programme, so prior dance experience is not necessary.
The setting is a big part of the appeal. Lumphini Hall sits inside one of Bangkok’s oldest public parks, turning a Saturday evening in the city into something closer to an old ballroom social than a conventional concert. Admission is free, with the programme running from 5pm to 8pm.
Bangkok rarely puts craft workshops, Thai horror worlds, science experiments, American beer and 1930s swing dancing into the same weekend. This time, somehow, it has.
