Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 13: The episode had the house turn into a messy equation of ration, contribution and relationships. What began with tensions soon spiralled into clashes, uncomfortable conversations and shifting equations. With no ration secured for the week, the episode also exposed how differently the housemates view contribution, respect and “loyalty”.

Episode 13 of Bigg Boss 20 opened with the lingering tension between Arishfa Khan and Mary Kom. Arishfa maintained that Mary Kom pushed her during the task, while Mary defended herself by saying that they were simply playing the game. It was a relatively brief argument but established the mood that was to follow the next day in the same episode, as everyone seemed to have something to say about someone else.
The house is becoming increasingly interesting because the arguments do not seem to be staying inside their original boxes and rather spill over everywhere.
Mahi Vij Calls Out Mary Kom’s “I Am The Best” Energy
While sitting in the garden area with Arishfa, Isha Rikhi, Uditi Singh, and Qazi Touqeer, Mahi Vij spoke about Mary Kom’s interaction with Yung DSA regarding how she had told Yung that Mahi had abused him, something Mahi clearly did not appreciate. She went on to describe Mary as someone who cannot accept that another person could come across as her and constantly puts herself above everyone else.
For Mahi, it was less about one isolated statement and more about the larger personality she feels Mary Kom has displayed inside the house. Then came the sentence that basically summarised Mahi’s frustration: according to her, Mary Kom talks very highly about herself.
The thing about Bigg Boss arguments is that once you start talking about someone’s personality, the conversation rarely remains about the original incident.
Claims, Comments and Convenient Conversations
The episode also showed how quickly claims about other housemates can become group entertainment. The uncomfortable undercurrent ran through the episode, especially in the way some housemates spoke about people who were not part of the conversation.
Aasif, Scout, Yung, and Rohed laughed and giggled at Uditi’s expressions and talent. At one point, Scout asked about Uditi’s talent, to which Aasif said that she has done MVs Scout immediately responded, “music video mein naachna hota hoga”. Aasif said that he did not know, while Yung giggled along. Aasif then quickly tried to pull himself away from the comment telling that he had not said anything of that sort and they should not. But the moment had already happened, and the entire group was laughing.
Then there was Aman Gandhi talking about Kanika Mann, claiming that she had undergone cosmetic surgery on her chin and lips and suggesting that this was why her face does not move much and she keeps it that way. While Qazi said that he does not like to go personal, Aman continued with his interpretation. That was Aman’s observation and claim, not something the episode established as fact.
What made these moments stand out was not simply what was being said but how effortlessly someone else’s appearance, expressions, and work or talent could become entertainment for a group. How an opinion is put across definitely matters because such conversations often blur the line between an opinion and a fact, and perhaps that distinction matters most when the person being discussed is not there to defend.
Gullu Is Called In the Confession Room
Then came the task that eventually became the episode’s biggest mess and the house’s biggest loss so far.
Gullu was called into the confession room, where Bigg Boss asked him a couple of questions, which Gullu answered quickly, setting up for the next part of the task.
The other contestants were then called into Room Number 20, where they had to match their answers with Gullu’s answers. Every housemate had a buzzer, and whoever pressed it first got the opportunity to answer, while Gullu was responsible for deciding who pressed it first.
Uditi Singh, Mahi Vij, and Aasif Khan each managed to get one answer right, earning themselves a special advantage but with a tiny issue: the house’s overall score was negative. So despite the individual victories, the house had no ration.
Another Chance to Earn 75% Ration
Mahi, Uditi and Aasif were subsequently called into Room Number 20 as they had scored a point each. They got an opportunity to earn 75% of the house ration if they mutually agreed on a contestant whose lifeline would be deducted because they believed that person had contributed the least to the house.
This is where the episode stopped being a task and became “personal”. Uditi suggested Isha Rikhi; Mahi’s first choice was Love Gill, and Aasif chose Aman Gandhi. Three people, three names and no consensus. Mahi then suggested Mary Kom, explaining that she felt Mary was mostly involved in the kitchen, while Aasif argued and defended Mary, saying that she was entertaining and suggested that Mahi’s opinion could be influenced by their personal differences and gave Qazi’s name as his second option.
Suddenly, the word contribution became the “keyword” subjected to interpretations. Things became even more awkward as Mahi asked Uditi for the name she had to suggest and appeared to have forgotten “Mary Kom’s name”. The moment itself had become an issue, adding a layer to the conversation about who values, remembers and actually gets importance.
Since the three could not agree on one name, the house received no ration for the week.
Mary Kom And Mahi Vij Take The Argument Personally
While the ration drama was still brewing, the tension between Mary Kom and Mahi Vij exploded. Mary accused people of simply coming into the house after putting on makeup and new clothes and went on to say that people eat their food from her kitchen and still claim that she does not contribute.
The argument quickly became personal. Mary Kom said, “sirf makeup karke naye kapde pehenke aa jaate hai” (transl. they just come wearing makeup and new clothes) before continuing to question the contribution of others. She also said that people eat food that she cooks and then have the audacity to say that she contributes nothing.
The conversation, however, crossed a line that clearly affected Mahi: motherhood. Mary’s comment touched Mahi’s identity as a mother, and Mahi immediately warned her not to speak about what kind of mother she is. It became the moment when the argument stopped being about the kitchen.
Mary Kom brought up her stature, saying she is a star, to which Mahi responded that everyone is a star in their own field. Mary, however, pushed back, pointing to the fact that she had fought opponents from other countries and asked Mahi to respect her. Mahi just answered, “Why should I?”
The argument continued to escalate, with many contestants believing that Mary Kom is a legend and should be respected, while some had the opinion that even if she is a legend, they cannot put her on a pedestal in the house itself.
Mary was visibly emotional by the end of it and eventually broke down in tears.
Perhaps that was the most uncomfortable part of the entire exchange because somewhere between proving who had contributed more and establishing who deserved respect, the argument stopped being about the ration altogether.
Aasif’s Choice Starts Changing The House Dynamics
Another quieter shift happened behind all the chaos. After Aasif chose Aman Gandhi as the person whose lifeline he would have deducted, his equation with the group was changing.
Aman was seen spending more time talking with Aasif and others. Aman even explained to Uditi and Arishfa that he speaks to them only in a limited way and therefore felt that his choice was justified. It was a small conversation but showed how quickly alliances can seem to shift in the house.
The House Is Getting More Personal
Episode 13 felt like the house was moving in a slightly different direction. The relationships are beginning to change: a comment from one day is remembered during some other conversation, a nomination is becoming an argument, a contribution list a personality assessment, a disagreement is leading to a completely different tangent.
Bigg Boss 20 is getting interesting as the house is no longer simply divided into two, at least that is what Episode 13 suggests. It is beginning to divide itself through perception.
