Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 12: Bigg Boss 20 Episode 12 was supposed to be about one very important thing – Week 2 Captaincy; however, it became a complete cocktail of accusations of bias, hurt feelings, old jokes being dragged back into the present and one tiny “chamchi” comment opening the grand gates to an entire house fight.
Somewhere between all of this, Gullu walked away as the winner of the Week 2 captaincy task. The captaincy result almost felt like the ending credits to an episode that had spent most of its runtime asking “who is actually targeting whom in the house?” with regard to different situations.
Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 12: Week 2 Captaincy Begins With Lifelines on the Line
The first part of the captaincy task split the house into two spaces. The four “daavedars” were in the living area, while the remaining contestants were inside Room 20. The task required the four contenders to enter the 2X room through the X door and announce and lock the name of a nominated contestant whose lifeline they wanted to take away/deduct.
There were three nominated contestants and four “daavedar”, which brought in an element of competition, but Rhiti Tiwari decided not to run because she did not want to play against any of the nominated ones.

The deductions came quickly:
Gullu chose to deduct Scout’s lifeline; Kanika chose Rohed’s; and Mahi chose Aasif’s lifeline.
This was only half the task.
The Big Question
After the task, Aasif Khan and the group questioned the decision and accused Bigg Boss of bias. Their argument was that their video had been shown to the house while other contestants’ actions were allegedly kept behind a veil. The group even said that they should have brought only TV stars if they had to favour the people from TV over others.

That frustration became another layer in the already growing division in the house because when contestants start feeling that the narrative being presented to them is selective, every subsequent argument starts looking less like an isolated incident and more like evidence for a larger conspiracy.
Yung DSA Breaks Down Over Mahi’s Alleged Comment
The episode also had a completely different kind of emotional moment: Yung DSA was visibly upset after hearing about something Mahi Vij had supposedly said about him. He broke down because, from his perspective, the comment had genuinely hurt him, but there was an interesting complication here.

Isha Rikhi tried to clear the air with him and explained that Mahi had not actually abused him. So while Yung was reacting to what he was told had been said, there was already an attempt happening inside the house to separate the rumour, the interpretation and the real context.
It was one of those Bigg Boss moments where the issue is not necessarily about what was said but about how the person was told about it and how deeply it affected them.

A Random Comment Turns Into a Full-Blown House Fight
Mahi, Arishfa, Aman and Qazi were sitting in the bedroom when Love was walking out, and that was when Arishfa commented on Love Gill, which included the word “chamchi”. Love heard it and came right back.
She confronted Arishfa about what she had said, and what began as an exchange between the two quickly escalated, expanding into Aasif versus Qazi, before turning into a larger group confrontation involving multiple contestants.

At one point, Aasif even told Qazi, “Aansu ponchne mai aata hu” (I come to wipe your tears), and honestly, this was the point when the original argument started becoming lost in the wilderness of arguments.
“Ganji Gudiya” Becomes the Real Issue
The argument gradually shifted towards the “ganji gudiya” comment, which Qazi maintained was a joke, but most of the house was not exactly willing to let it pass as just a joke. Several contestants began pointing towards Qazi and questioning his tendency to make jokes that they felt carried double meanings, and this is where Mahi’s position became interesting.

Rather than simply joining the pile-on, Mahi felt that Qazi was being disproportionately targeted. She pointed out that everyone in the house makes jokes and questioned why the entire group was suddenly focusing on him. Mahi even addressed the camera and questioned the timing of the confrontation. According to her, if the boys were genuinely uncomfortable with what Qazi had said, they could have told him there and then that he was wrong, but they allowed the matter to sit and brought it back later.
Week 2 Captaincy: Gullu Wins Over
After all the screaming, strategising, alliances and emotional turbulence, the actual captaincy task eventually reached its conclusion with Gullu winning over. The task did not simply let a winner emerge but had verbal fights, disagreements, fun and emotional overflow.
During the task, Qazi was criticised for pushing. In fact, Rhiti Tiwari even raised her voice, confronting Qazi during the game.

So while the captaincy crown ultimately was worn by Gullu, the task itself became a little map of the house, showing how people who are against you one day can stand in favour of you and make you win when they have no other option.
Bigg Boss Season 20 Week 2: Captaincy Task Day That Was About Everything Else
The captaincy task of the episode never existed in isolation. The lifeline deductions brought the question of fairness and perceived Bigg Boss bias. Yung DSA’s emotional breakdown brought the difference between what was said and what was understood into focus. Qazi’s “ganji gudiya” controversy shifted the conversation towards a much larger issue: when does a joke stop being a joke and when does a group confrontation become collective targeting?

Mahi’s intervention made that question more complicated because she was not necessarily defending every joke Qazi made but was questioning the way the house had chosen to confront him, and perhaps that is the real flavour of Week 2 so far.
The house is beginning to form little bundles of loyalty, with arguments increasingly becoming tests of where everyone stands. Gullu has won the captaincy, but Episode 12 made one thing clear: the real game this week is between the “groups”.
