Love in Disguise Episode 2 Review
Jae-Hee’s Cover Is Hanging by a Thread
Yi-jun questions Jae-hee about her glasses as he realises those aren’t prescription lenses. He takes them and crushes them, making Jae-hee feel intimidated. However, ever the clever Jae-hee simply says that she wears them to ensure others don’t think she’s a girl because people often misjudge her. Yi-jun lets Jae-hee go but warns her to never keep any secrets from him. Oh honey, she is a whole secret herself.
I really love how they’ve written Jae-hee as the cop who knows how to quickly get rid of suspicions, whether it is through some action or her clever talk. She manages to conceal her identity once again and gain the chance to stay beside Yi-jun. However, she now knows that Yi-jun is pretty observant and that she can’t make more mistakes.

Broken Glasses, New Clues
With her glasses now broken, Jae-hee now only has the audio function that seems to work. She uses it to listen to Yi-jun and Mr Kim secretly. She uncovers some details about the murder, and it raises her suspicion. Through their conversation, she learns that Yi-jun wasn’t there when the murder happened, and the Han also wasn’t present. Someone named Park has cleaned up the spot. So who is the criminal?
She also learns that Park Min-hwan took the items out of Yi-jun’s office before the emergency responders could come proves that something was purposely done and hidden. She doesn’t get the whole picture, but somehow she now has extra details around the case. She is now determined to search Yi-jun’s home, especially that one room he warned her to stay away from. She is going to take the risk!

Yi-Jun and Jae-Hee’s Complicated Dynamic
We can clearly see the tension between Yi-jun and Jae-hee. Jae-hee wants to get close to Yi-jun to uncover the truth, whereas Yi-jun senses that Jae-hee isn’t being honest. Both of them are watching each other carefully. During Yi-jun’s visit to the art gallery, he catches Jae-hee following him, and this puts her at risk.
But luckily, a reporter takes a picture of them and runs away. This allows Jae-hee to lie that she was following him to protect him from the reporter. Yi-jun buys the lie. Oh, she’s clever. Anyhow, he seems to be trusting her, though he still has his moments of hesitation. Regardless, it adds a layer to their budding friendship.

And the Towel Falls Down
The episode ends with the funniest interaction. As Jae-hee goes to meet Yi-jun, all she sees is him coming fresh out of the shower with just a towel. For him, it feels fine because Jae-hee is a man, but for Jae-hee, she knows who she is and seeing Yi-jun’s bare body definitely makes her blush.
To top it all off, Yi-jun slips and falls, but our heroic Jae-hee catches him at the right moment. However, the towel falls down, and the two are embarrassed as they realise the position they are both in.
Final Thoughts: A Mystery Worth Following
So far, we have immense comedy scenes, some cute romance niche scenes and a murder mystery that’s not revealing too soon. The conversation between Yi-jun and Kim has provided some new data which Jae-hee will use to uncover the truth. Though Jae-hee is clever, sometimes she puts her disguise at risk.

Regardless, Yi-jun has started trusting her, and soon he is going to fall in love with her, whom he thinks is a man. So we’re going to be having some Coffee Prince moments, and I’m waiting for it.
Overall, Love in Disguise Episode 2 gives a great premiere week with a good plot going on. If they keep up this same pace, this sure would become one of 2026’s favourite Kdrama for many.
