MANILA, Philippines – Corporate, business and government procurement records are expected to take center stage as the Senate impeachment court resumes Monday, with House prosecutors continuing to build their case on Vice President Sara Duterte’s alleged unexplained wealth under Article II of the Articles of Impeachment.

- The prosecution is set to present witnesses from the Civil Service Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission and Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System. Their testimonies are expected to examine Duterte’s declared business interests and alleged government transactions involving companies linked to her.
- Ariel Ronquillo, assistant commissioner of the Civil Service Commission is expected to testify today on the rules governing the preparation and filing of Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALNs), including guidelines he helped draft.
- Last week, the impeachment court subpoenaed Ronquillo, SEC Company Registration and Monitoring Department Director Gerardo del Rosario, Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System division chief Rendell Sopeña and Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte in this week’s proceedings.
- Reports said the impeachment court will hold a caucus to discuss issues related to the disputed number of votes required to convict Duterte. The court has set Wednesday, Sept. 23, for oral arguments on the matter.
