CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Following the historic Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary elections, all 901 police personnel from Northern Mindanao deployed to secure polling in Lanao del Sur are safe and fully accounted for.
The Police Regional Office-10 (PRO-10) confirmed Tuesday afternoon that its contingents, who served as security forces and members of Special Electoral Boards (SEBs) during Monday’s regional elections, remain secure in their assigned municipalities.

“All contingents deployed to Lanao del Sur are safe and accounted for in their respective areas of assignment. We continue to monitor their situation and maintain communication with them while they remain deployed,” Brig. Gen. Nestor Babagay Jr., PRO-10 director, said in a statement.
Babagay commended the police force for their professionalism and discipline in carrying out their election duties.
While the troops await their return home, the regional director appealed to the public to keep the deployed officers in their thoughts.
“Behind every police officer serving away from home is a family waiting for their safe return. Let us keep them in our prayers as they continue to fulfill their responsibilities,” Babagay said. /mcm
