MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has allocated parliamentary seats among four winning political parties in the first Bangsamoro Parliamentary elections, with Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) and United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) getting the two highest numbers of allotted seats.
The RBOC announced that the following political parties secured their seats in the parliament:
- BFP with 678,328 votes (38.72 percent)
- UBJP with 613,663 votes (35.02 percent)
- Bangsamoro Grand Coalition (BGC) with 391,266 votes
- Raayat Democratic Party with 68,839 votes (3.93 percent)
In the computation of the seats, the RBOC said that the BFP is allotted 16 seats, 15 seats for UBJP, eight for BGC, and one for Raayat.

This was announced by the Regional Board of Canvassers (RBOC) on Tuesday evening. The conduct of the elections concluded on the same evening after Maluso, Basilan experienced delays in the electoral exercise due to flagging of pre-shaded ballots.
The Bangsamoro Autonomy Act (BAA) No. 35, as amended by BAA No. 88, provides that parties receiving at least 2.5 percent of the total valid votes for the party representation race are entitled to be allocated party representation seats.
The historic parliamentary elections are set to fill the 80-seat parliament, of which 40 seats are allotted for political parties, 32 seats for district representatives, and eight for sectoral organizations. /cb
