MaMkhize distances herself from xenophobic posts

MaMkhize – real name Shauwn Mkhize – has distanced herself from a fake Facebook profile in her name, which recently set waggings over a xenophobic post.

This comes after widespread attacks by South Africans on foreign nationals living in the country have made headlines in recent weeks.

MAMKHIZE DISTANCES HERSELF FROM XENOPHOBIC POST

On her Instagram account, MaMkhize issued a statement, distancing herself from a Facebook profile in her name. Although the account is verified and has over one million followers, the businesswoman revealed that she was not affiliated with it.

MaMkhize particularly found fault with one of the recent posts, which sought to create tension between South Africans and foreign nationals living in the country.

The soccer boss shared: “The statements being shared from that page are false and do not reflect my views, values or position. I am not affiliated with any political party, political movement or political commentary associated with that account. I chose to be a businesswoman, not a politician, and I intend to remain that way”.

MaMkhize vowed to take legal action against the administrators of the page, which has posted defamatory comments about fellow celebrities such as Kelly Khumalo, Minnie Dlamini, DJ Zinhle, and many others.

MAKING A STATEMENT

While MaMkhize does not have a Facebook account, she does have Instagram and TikTok accounts that boast millions of combined followers.

Her latest IG post features her making an entrance at a Mbabalane Highlanders AM game.

The club owner walked through the street ahead of the eSwatini club bus.

She captioned the clip: “The grand entrance…The MaMkhize Way✨🚍🚖🏍️…I was born for moments like this”.
