Synopsis
While training outside her sect, Cui Xiaoxiao enters a twisted timeline two hundred years in the past. There, she meets the young Wei Jie and, by a twist of fate, takes his place on the path to becoming a demon.
The strange connection across time causes Cui Xiaoxiao’s abilities to skyrocket, but she becomes known to the world as a demon, suffering repeated physical and emotional blows. Yet she faces every challenge head-on, helping others whenever she can, while searching for a way to return to her own world.
As she grows closer to Wei Jie, she comes to understand that beneath his exterior lies a wounded young man who simply longs to be loved. The two come to know and trust each other.
Then, Wei Jie’s true identity is revealed: he is actually Gu Yan Di Jun, who failed a divine trial. He personally chose Cui Xiaoxiao and sent her into the twisted timeline to take his place on the demon’s path, so that he could return to his divine seat.
But through his time with Cui Xiaoxiao, Wei Jie has been changed. He rediscovers the innocence and sincerity of being human. In the end, they break through the barriers between their hearts and join forces to fight the hidden hand behind the schemes against Wei Jie, standing together to protect the mortal world.
