MANILA, Philippines — A total of 11 areas across the country recorded “danger”-level heat indices on Thursday, April 30, the weather state bureau said. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said among the areas monitored, Virac (Synop) in Catanduanes, Iloilo City, and Dumangas, Iloilo recorded the highest heat index at 44°C.
